Krypton Challenge 2009

The 2nd Krypton Challenge in 2009 took place at Blea Tarn in the Langdales. The format was Swim / Lilo / Run (biking is far too dangerous for nutters like us)
Seven intrepid liloathletes took part. Swim across Blea tarn to the rocky promontary, lilo back, and then a run up and down the steep hill to the east of the cattle grid. We nearly lost Kirsten to the tarn mermaids but Mark J's lifesaving badge (acquired when he was 12) came in handy. Dave J swam like a shark, paddled a blow up whale and showed off his budding fellrunning prowess to win the event and proudly become Kryptonman 2009.
